WELCOME TO JMJ English High School

JMJ English High School, Edayapalayam, Puducherry is one of the organs of the society of J.M.J. (Jesus Mary Joseph) which was started in Holland in 1822 by Rev. Fr. Mathias Wolff SJ and few missionary sisters with the main aim of promoting women's education. That is for the poor, illiterate marginalized sisters, When the society produced amazing results in the land of its origin, the sisters desired to extend it to India, Indonesia, Africa, Australia, Italy and America. The society has its beginning in India in 1904 and has educational institutions, Healthcare units and technical and social work centres.

JMJ English High School was opened in the year 2011 at Edayarpalayam. A need for a missionary school was felt very badly by the vicinity. So, the sisters of JMJ decided to start a school in Edayarpalayam. The classes began with Pre KG, LKG and UKG. The strength in the first year was 15 students. The strength grew very rapidly to the tune of 100 students within two years. Each year the school will be upgraded by a standard until it reaches Higher Secondary level.
